What is acid staining?
Acid stain is a permanent concrete coloring system that transforms plain concrete into beautiful earth tone colors which resembles marble.

How does it work?
The acid stain is a specially formulated acid based solution which penetrates into your concrete and chemically reacts with the mineral content of your concrete floor. The process results with distinctive color variations that replicate a marble look and will not wear off.

How do you apply this system?
First we evaluate the condition of your floor to determine if your floor is a good candidate for acid stain. Factors such oil stains, carpet adhesives, and physical imperfections may impact the final result.

Step one: Thoroughly clean and sand floor.

Step two: Apply acid stain, we typically use several colors, a variety of techniques, and sometimes multiple applications to achieve the desired look.

Step three: Remove all acid residue, scrub floor several times, and neutralize.

Step four: Apply penetrating resin fortified commercial seal coat to protect and enhance colors.

Step five: Final application is several coats of an acrylic clear coat which gives a soft satin finish and creates a low maintenance easy to clean surface.
